Turning off iPhone driving mode ( Do Not Disturb) this feature helps your iPhone to prevent unwanted disruptions while driving.

The iPhone Do Not Disturb driving mode is only available in iOS 11 and above. If you’re using the older version of iOS, we recommend you upgrade to iOS 11 or higher.

With iOS 11 and higher, while driving your iPhone senses that you might be driving, the Do Not Disturb feature will lunch and connect to your car automatically while driving.

What to expect when Do Not Disturb Driving Mode is on As mentioned earlier above, helps your iPhone to prevent unwanted disruptions while driving.

Here’s what to expect when Do Not Disturb While Driving is turned on:

  • The emergency alerts, timers, and alarms will function as normal even when the driving mode is activated.
  • when received a text message, your phone will make any sound. The sender receives an automatic message letting them know that you’re driving. If the message is urgent or vital, the sender will send the word “urgent” to make sure you get a notification.
  • If your phone is connected via Bluetooth with your car, all incoming calls will be allowed. Then, you can use the buttons, microphones, and speakers in your car to take your call. You also choose to allow calls only to your favourite contacts, or from anyone who makes back-to-back calls. These preferences are configurable by taking the following path: Settings -> Do Not Disturb
  • If you use Maps to navigate, your iPhone still shows lock-screen navigation help and gives turn-by-turn instructions.
  • If you’re the passenger the driving mode may activate on your iPhone, tap not driving a button to off it.

How to Turn Off Driving Mode

Do Not Disturb While Driving mode activate automatically when your iPhone senses that you’re driving, and it can be turned on (or off) manually via the iOS Control Center. To on/off driving mode in the Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and click the car icon.

To on/off driving mode in the Control Center, swipe down on the upper right-hand corner of your iPhone screen and click the car icon.
